My father in law calls it “short cattle” or a small cow. I don’t remember. Its tasty any way you call it.
Gaydamak gave up on Tiv Taam. One of of the few stores in Israel that sells pork meat, sea food and (cute) frozen bunnies and other not so (mildly put) Kosher regale. The kosher bandits in the rabanut threat normal secular way of life by banning good food and shops who sells it and not willing to pay any money “under the table” for the kosher badge. Tiv Taam sells everything. Even on Shabbat |(its not recommended to shop there on shabbat because the place is packed!). Gaydamak wanted to buy it, make it kosher = just like the rest of the supermarkets in Israel, and by that getting political support from the good people in Jerusalem that can’t stand seeing anybody else having fun, doing what he wants to do, and eating what he wants to eat.
Even people who don’t like pork (I know a few) can appreciate the freedom to buy whatever the hell they want. Any day of the week.
Impossible to turn Tiv Ta’am kosher
Some analysts believe that after signing the contract, Gaydamak realized that as most of Tiv Ta’am’s customers shop there because it was not kosher, turning the Tiv Ta’am chain and the Mizra factory kosher would be in fact impossible.
Anyway, excuse me for being so excited about such news, Tiv Ta’am sells great bacon… and don’t forget the bunny rabbits, and Dutch cheeses and ice creams.
